I’m through the intro videos. Most were some background, information about the class, where to go for help, etc, but we did make a Hello, World! app.
Some things I learned of note (which I may not fully understand yet):
- When you drag something from Interface Builder into your code, the link is made in a couple places. If you change the variable name in your code, it will be left hanging out in Interface Builder and throw an error. This orphan needs to be removed.
- Like most Apple application, the properties pane is your friend. Most configuration of the UI happens in there.
- Xcode is case sensitive and likes lowercase file extensions.
